My wife and I are staying in a little cottage on Hood Canal seeking the Lord for 2009. We went to the cottage, brought our own food and tried our best to eliminate distractions from the hussle and bussle of everyone coming in and out. We also decided to avoid the TV so we could pray, talk, and plan. So in the evening, we decide to watch a show, or let me say I wanted to watch a show...Prison Break...one of my favorite shows during the week. What is the first thing that comes up on the screen? On demand movies with a voice recording that says, "Check out our recent adult videos". Then it goes on listing other movies that are available. At the end it tells the parents that they can block the adult videos if they so desire.
What is this world coming too? I cannot imagine the pressure guys would have that travel allot. So here is what I am thinking as of now...We have to be on guard, both men and women for what is out there in the form of sex. We have to be asking each other all of the time, how we are doing unashamably. Husbands and wifes need to have a great sex life and if this is not happening, couples need to be given safe opportunities to ask for help. We need to continually graft the Word into our hearts so we don't deviate from His ways at anytime. We need to make sure we don't allow our minds to wander outside of the righteous scope God intented. Finally, we need to do research in advance so that we know what we are getting ourselves into - this will help make good and Godly decisions...
